The Court of Sessions Judge Tejwinder Singh today awarded life imprisonment to a 19-year-old youth for killing his father.
Anuj Kumar of Rampura was accused of beating up his father and inflicting serious injuries, which led to his death.
The accused was arrested by the police and a case was registered against him in April last year. Though the accused later pleaded in the court that his father, Ramesh Kumar, was hit by a stray bull, which led to his death. The incident had occurred in Rampura.
As per the police, the boy was consuming liquor everyday and was demanding money from his father. When his father denied to give him money he beat up his father. Then the boy admitted his father to a hospital and left him unattended and did not turn up to enquire about his health.
