Jagsir Singh 35 of Gholia Khurd village in the district has been allegedly shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Manila capital region of the Philippines.
A family member said the victim was killed on Tuesday night when he was on his way home after shutting his shop. He had migrated to the Philippines in 2006 and was into garment business. Shot from a close range, he died on the spot. Robbery was stated to be the motive.The Manila police had registered a criminal case against unidentified assailants, Jagsir’s friends living along with him told his family over phone.
In a state of shock, victim’s father Sukhchain Singh and mother Ajmer Kaur have sought the Union Government’s help to bring back the body.
