A 34-year-old man suffering from AIDS committed suicide at Guru Arjan Dev Nagar on the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.
The deceased has been identified as Pardeep Kumar. The police said the victim was a drug addict and was suffering from AIDS. He was unemployed for the past many years and was in depression, said Dalip Bedi, SHO, Division No. 7 police station.
Pardeep’s family told the police that when he did not come out of his room this morning, they entered it to find his body hanging from a ceiling fan.
