Ghana President Mr. John Dramani Mahama has invited Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal to visit Ghana along with a delegation from Punjab with a view to build strong relations between Republic of India and especially the state of Punjab.
In his invitation the Ghana President urged Deputy CM to lead a delegation to Ghana since Ghana was very keen to promote manufacturing, farming, agro-processing, jewellery making, hydro-power projects, education etc. He said it is high time for Ghana and Punjab to apply their minds to witness mutual understanding by promoting such businesses. Mr. Mahama said both states can utilise expertise of each-other in their excelled streams.
The President extended an appeal to Deputy CM that to make their tour for minimum 4 days. He said a special envoy was being sent to Punjab to personally hand over this invitation to Mr. Badal. He said Ghana would arrange meetings with industrial giants, leaders in agriculture sector besides holding visits to sites of agricultural projects and proposed farming sites.
