Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar on Tuesday said India was quite “well-prepared” to handle a Sydney hostage crisis like situation.
.I think we are improving and definitely much better than probably what we were were prepared in the earlier year . .. .
“Ultimately that comes with situation... and each situation differs and I think we are quite well-prepared,” he added.
Several people, including two Indians, were taken hostage at a popular cafe in Sydney in Australia by a gunman on Monday. The crisis ended with the police storming the cafe and killing the gunman.
