Mansa Police claimed to have arrested three persons from whose possession the cops recovered one 
quintal of stolen copper, currency worth Rs one lakh and a 315 bore rifle along with two live bullets.
 Mansa SSP Bhupinder Singh Khattra said the gang was involved in stealing inverter batteries and copper from the power transformers. The arrested three accused were identified as Gulzar, Daler Singh  and Naven Kumar of Ludhiana. A case under Sections 379, 411 of the IPC and different Sections of the Arms Act was registered at Mansa Sadar Police station.
The SSP claimed that beside these three, the gang had some others members too including Ravi Rola  and Sunil Bhatia of Ludhiana, who managed to escape. Apart from them, Police have also learnt about two others named Raju and Ravi, who are lodged in Ferozepur Jail., said the SSP, mentioning that the Police were in process to bring them on production warrant to investigate the case. The gang, as alleged, was operative in different towns of Punjab and Haryana.
